Vášeň ke čtení
2026
Vášeň ke čtení is an NGO connecting youth and seniors through literature. They needed merch, but typical NGO apparel is boring and nobody actually wears it in public. I designed a killer three-piece streetwear collection that bridges the generational gap by turning classic authors into rebels.
The original brief handed me sterile, 20-point Wikipedia-style biographies for Franz Kafka, Oscar Wilde, and Božena Němcová. If I just slapped those facts and a logo on a tee, it would instantly become pajamas. The mission was to scrap the boring academia and sneak the educational material into an aesthetic people would actually want to wear.
I unified the portraits using a halftone effect paired with heavy, ink-trap typography, then completely gamified their personalities. Kafka’s existential dread was stylized as a cascade of crashing Windows XP error popups, Wilde got a massive back-print "Care Label" warning to wash in luxury and keep away from hard labor, and Němcová was rebranded as a rebel with a bold "Not your babička" graphic.
The result is a highly wearable streetwear collection that people buy because it looks incredibly sick, not just out of charity. It proved to me that you don't have to sacrifice raw aesthetics to be educational—you just have to hide the boring facts inside a design that screams.
